Background

This position requires a unique individual that is self-driven and competent with information management and portal technologies.
The candidate must be able to work with the customer to identify business problems and help them visualize how those problems can be mitigated with our portal solutions. In addition, the candidate must work with the solution delivery team to create and oversee the technical roadmap and act as a liaison between the customer and the delivery team. Some of the typical functions of a Project Manager at Infotech include:

• The successful candidate will be expected to manage their time across the following areas:
• Working closely with the customer to help them understand how our services will help to mitigate their business issues,
• Working closely with the project delivery team to help build solution roadmaps and responses to requests for proposals and information,
• Working closely with senior technical decision makers internally to help build technical solution architecture; and
• Working closely with key customers, helping to guide them through the technical decision making processes. This involves delivering technical presentations, facilitating on-site technical workshops and guiding them to make informed technical decisions.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from university with a Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration/ Commerce or other related degree, preferably with an Information Technology concentration, supplemented by considerable sales and project management experience.
• Previous pre-sales and/or account management experience in a technical environment.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, facilitation and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to foster collaborative team relationships.
• Must be driven, self-maintaining and very competent. The successful candidate in this role will be able to quickly understand the expectations and in a self-guided way, do what it takes to get the results required.
• Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
• Technical writing of proposals, technical specification docs, solution overview docs, training material etc.
• SharePoint 2007 and 2010 subject matter depth and expertise is critical in this role.
• Ability to deliver role-based training is preferred.
• Technical knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 strongly preferred.
